marcia meyers
Meyers approaches her design and craftsmanship with a purity that resonates throughout her work. It may be seen in the details and quality of her pieces, and experienced as an aesthetic element when they are worn.
Meyers's work involves a variety of techniques, including cutting, hydraulic press and/or die forming, mill rolling, soldering, oxidizing, depletion gilding to reveal the purest silver color, or utilizing the keum bu technique. She is proficient with vitreous, kiln-fired enamels, often under-firing them for a "sugar" texture, or sifting the enamel and "painting" her designs with the resultant fine grains.
